The APB training program provides a 40 hour, hands-on training in a real working environment. We believe that by exposing our students to a diversity of drinks and by challenging them to work one-on-one with our staff our students achieve a well rounded and balanced education. Our goal is to provide our students with ample experience, preparing them for future jobs. You will be exposed to a wide variety of drinks, styles and techniques. You will prepare drinks your very 1st day under the supervision of experienced NY State licensed instructors. APB strives to fully develop each person's abilities to ensure nothing but the finest bartenders graduate from our school. Instructors are available to give the proper guidance on all aspects of the course and students are encouraged to contact them should they have questions regarding course content, specific course objectives or just real life situations they may encounter after they have graduated. Classes are taught by professional, NY State licensed instructors who provide so much more than just teaching. APB draws its instructors from professional bartenders who "moonlight" for us. Why Get Bartending Certification?

As is fitting for a professional class leading to a certification exam, this course is interaction of both the student and the teacher. The majority of our students have completed the course and have gone on to profitable career and some even moved up to manage establishments. Others simply wanted to know more about bartending for their own private use.

Although this course is designed to teach you the basics of drink preperation, knowledge that will surely come in handy, not everyone who takes this class wants to get certified. Some just want the knowledge. Others though may want to go on to become certified. APB certification is the first step to a successful career in the world of mixology. Many employers require this certification from applicants as it is the equivalent of six months experience and demonstrates a commitment to learn and apply ones self.
